Ein unterhaltsamer Dokumentarfilm über die schillernde Parallelwelt der Mode- und Überlebenskünstler der DDR, aus der Sicht des Regisseurs, der selbst Dressman beim Modeinstitut der DDR war. Er begibt sich auf die Suche nach damaligen Protagonisten, deren Spuren bis in die heutige Zeit reichen. Ein Kinofilm über Kreativität als Lebenselixier und die nie endende Sehnsucht nach individueller Freiheit.
An entertaining documentary about the glittering parallel world of the fashion artists and survivors of the GDR, seen through the eyes of a director who was himself a male model at the GDR Fashion Institute. He sets out in search of the protagonists of that era, whose traces reach into the present. A film about creativity as a life force and the never-ending longing for individual freedom.
