Around 100 years ago, an adventure begins in the Orient that will transform the region forever: the construction of a railway from Constantinople to Baghdad, 2,600 kilometers through snow-covered mountains, deep gorges, and scorching desert regions. German engineers lead this technical and political gamble — because the British, above all, see their interests in the Orient under threat.
