Manop lives with his parents and siblings in humble conditions in a small Thai village on the border with Myanmar. The nine-year-old dreams of becoming a star in Thailand's popular folk opera Likay — a unique form of entertainment combining music, dance, drama, comedy, and many action elements.

Eines Tages beschließt Manop, Chaiya Mitchai, Thailands bekanntestem Likay-Darsteller, einen Brief zu schreiben. Wird sein Traum in Erfüllung gehen?
