ANGRY SPIRITS

Der Film begleitet Ainur, eine junge Mutter, auf ihrer Suche nach Heilung. Sie lebt in Ulan-Bator und fühlt sich dort entwurzelt. Ainur glaubt, dass sie von etwas heimgesucht wird und begibt sich auf eine Reise durch die Steppe. Auf dem Weg dorthin macht sie Halt bei verschiedenen Schamanen, um Hilfe beim Kontakt mit den Ahnen und Geistern der Natur zu finden. In Ainurs Realität sind diese eng mit den Menschen verflochten. Auf der Reise wird sie mit der Zerstörung der Landschaft, Minenarbeiten und Wassermangel konfrontiert, was ihre Suche nach Heilung erschwert. Sie wird mit der Frage konfrontiert, welche Konsequenzen die Missachtung der Naturgeister für die Menschen und die Welt der Geister nach sich ziehen.

The film follows Ainur, a young mother, on her search for healing. She lives in Ulaanbaatar and feels uprooted there. Ainur believes she is haunted and sets out on a journey through the steppe. Along the way she visits various shamans, seeking help in making contact with the ancestors and spirits of nature. In Ainur's world, these spirits are deeply interwoven with human life. During the journey she confronts the destruction of the landscape, mining operations and water scarcity, which complicate her search for healing. She faces the question of what consequences the disregard of the nature spirits holds for both humans and the spirit world alike.
